Experiment with me for just a few minutes. And I want you to imagine for a moment that you get up in the morning to start your day and you look at your list of things to do and it's empty. There's nothing on your to-do list. It's all complete. Everything that you were supposed to do for the day for the week, anything in the future that you're supposed to get done, it's crossed off the list. It's done. See if you can try that on, as outrageous as that might seem. The idea that your list of things to do is complete. Nothing to do. And extend that to your list of projects.

[01:03]

Even include your list of aspirations. Anything that you aspire. Imagine that just for now. Just try on. See what it feels like. It's done. It's complete. let's add to that, imagine that your self-help plan is also complete. You've actually finished it. Whatever it was, it doesn't exist anymore. And now to make it really difficult, your self-help plan for others, also complete. It's done. They've become exactly what you wanted or you let go of whatever you thought you wanted. You've let go of it. Just see if you can, just for a few moments, lean into this possibility, what this might feel like.

[02:20]

This letting go of things to do, of improvement plans. of changing yourself or changing others. Just try it on. See if it's possible. See how it feels. And now begin to let go even of that and just return to being right here with your breath and your body, just breathing fully, keeping a sense of openness and curiosity, even as you return to being right here now. Being aware of the breath, the body, the heat, your feet touching the floor. Notice that you can play with where you bring your awareness.

[03:35]

You can bring your awareness to your hands or to the top of your head. And then let's... Let's all slowly, gently come on back. Open eyes if your eyes are closed. And let's just come and be present here. And what I want to suggest is I want us to start by having all of you talk. You're all going to talk for a few minutes right now. You're going to have to keep your voices really down so we can hear each other. But how about if everybody just turns to someone next to them? If there's somebody next to you, if you can... Try and find someone near you. Yeah, just see if somebody needs a partner. You can be in a group of three if it's easier, but just find someone to talk to.

[04:43]

But don't talk yet. I want to keep... Don't talk yet, please. Okay, here's what I want us to do. I just want to have you all talk for a few minutes about what that was like. Were you able to let go of your to-do list? Were you resistant? Did it bring you joy or did it bring you to the graveyard? I've heard many possibilities. You need to keep your voices really low to talk about this. I want to suggest that as you talk, you talk in a way that You might not know exactly what you're going to say. Be willing to surprise yourself when you're speaking. And if you're listening, just experiment with really listening without preparing what you're going to say. I think we can do that. Let's see. So we need to keep voices really low.

[05:45]

So we're just going to have... Make sure that everyone, if you're in a group of three, make sure everybody gets a chance to talk. We're just going to do this for about five minutes. I will let you know when about five minutes is up. So have a little conversation. Perfect.
